COMMENT: This paper brings the interesting concept of how sterile is the blood in healthy people.  Microbes in the blood translocate from mouth and gut and can be intracellular.

The authors call this blood microbiome as "The dormant microbiome". They also propose "Atopobiosis" term to describe the existence of microbes on other place where they are not supossed to be normally.

They also stressed the importance of the differentiation of non-culturable vs non-viable.
